About the Author

As a 21-year veteran of the homebuilding industry in a career spanning over 30 years, including 14 years with Griffin Industries as a Division Vice President of its Los Angeles/Ventura Region and company-wide Vice President of Engineering, she managed project development teams and a national team of project managers with responsibility for the details for billions of dollars of projects ranging from Master Planned Communities, Business & Industrial Parks, Specific Plans & Capital Improvement projects, Single & Multi-Family Communities, and Commercial Projects.

She has served 5 terms as a BIA GLA-V Board Member and past Vice President of Government Affairs.  Waxman has sat on numerous State of California and County public agencies’ committees working to streamline and formulate new policies & procedures such as the County of Los Angeles Land Development Advisory Committee, City of Los Angeles Regional Planning Commission Committee on Alternatives to a Certificate of Residential Compliance, County of Los Angeles Fire Department Committee for Fuel Modification Plan Guidelines, and State of California Regional Water Quality Control Board Committee for Drafting of the County of Los Angeles General Permit.
